SimplySassy's Scoop
About me:
"Outer beauty fades away in time, while inner beauty continues to grow, but....true beauty lies below the surface, in the heart, the mind, the soul." SimplySassy
Every now and then I come up with a line that surprises even me. The quote above is one. It just doesn't fit in the Quote section of the profile.
what the heck, new update 11/11/2014 :)
still breathing here, playing lord of the rings online with gary and loving the time I spend with him. RLC came thru the day we stumbled on each other in the lobby, can still picture the first time I saw him there.
Life is good. Hope it is for everyone that reads this :)
I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season coming up on us so very fast!!!
New update 3/27/2014
So much for home, lasted five days and was back in hospital...four days there and back to rehab where i still am....this time its multiple blood clots in my lungs. Not sure when i might get out this time, doing a lot better, just have to get the meds to act right and build up my endurance.....getting tired of paying rent and not being there. The move, lets just say ots not a good topic.
Just an update here. 48 days but i'm finally home and unpacking a huge mess. No place like home. A super special thank you to Gary who has been the sunshine in my dreary days. I love you baby.
Who I'd like to meet:

Music:
"As long as there are cowboys, truckers and people with broken hearts country will never die."
Country music is my favorite, more so the older country versus the newer, though there are some amazing newer groups and solo artists out there. Lady Antebellum has some amazing songs, Zac Brown Band, Brooks and Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Reba, Kenny, Dolly, Ronnie Milsap, Keith Whitley, George Jones, Vince Gil, and the list goes on and on and on... Country music is living.
Oldies - I grew up listening to the Tom Jones, Johnny Mathis, Perry Como, Doris Day, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby and the many others that my Grandma and Mom listened to. Good old 33's, 45's and 78's.
Instrumentals, I think the Kenny G album The Moment is probably one that speaks loudest to me of all, I can put that disk in regardless of my mood and it stirs me.
Music from the 60's, 70's, 80's of most kinds, love the old rock, music before it became 'noise'. I don't listen to rap, heavy metal or other headache makers (my opinion). If it talks to me, I'm happy.
Christmas music - I'll turn that on year round, makes no difference to me. I don't mean songs like Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, I'm talking songs like Silent Night, The Little Drummer Boy, White Christmas.
The Trans Siberian Orchestra has the absolutely most amazing show at Christmas. I've been twice. I have the Christmas Eve and Other Stories, The Christmas Attic and The Lost Christmas Eve disks on the computer and listen to them often thru the year, not just at Christmas. If you have never seen the show, you should. You'll be changed forever.

Books:
Can't go wrong with a romance novel...I used to read anything and everything I could get my hands on, but with my eyesight being what it is, I can't read 'books' anymore. All my reading is done online now, and I am forever reading something. I did collect cookbooks, quilt books and gardening/home fix it books, does that count?
