Greetings, and welcome to my little Oasis. I live in the north woods and to say we are "rural" would be an understatement, as our nearest human neighbors live 1/2 mile up the road... However, there is something to be said about stepping out onto our back porch, late at night... and hearing the winds coming off the Lake...joining leaves within the trees, dancing and singing within the branches of a rustling, sibilant chorus....and have that chorus joined by the songs of wolf packs...their soulful songs of love to the Moon, gliding through the night sky....
Who I'd like to meet:
I love to meet people who share my zeal of seeing Life as an opportunity to learn...to expand...and to grow. Knowledge and Enlightenment are not only worthy goals to strive for, but are the main purposes in life. For me, possessing knowledge opens the door to a host of experiences, emotional and physical, that would otherwise have been closed.

Interests:
I love to read. My favorite subjects include military history, United States History, and medieval history. I also love taking full advantage of living in deep woods, including hiking, foraging, fishing, and hunting - I am Death with a bow at under 50 yards. I love to cook, particularly piecing together recipes from past civilizations to see "how it would taste".
Within the past couple of years, my husband has taken an interest in photography, and he decided to go back and get a degree in photography...and we now enjoy creating images and art, with me being his preferred model. I would say our interests range from boudoir to fine art photography, some of which can be found here.

I love any of the classical composers, and quite a few from the Baroque period. I love Verdi, and I love Tchiakovsky. I also have to admit I have a fondness for folk music....
Movies:
I love movies. I love any movie. Even "dumb movies", I still love them, because I love stories....I love hearing stories, I love reading stories, and I love writing stories. For me, a movie provides a wonderful opportunity to immerse myself within the story itself...which I find to be...intoxicating.
