About me:

Tolerable and most times enjoyed: everything else, with the exception of (most) rap, and some of the heavy/acid metal.
Movies:
Prefer decapitations, mutilations, magic, monsters, gore, and a good plot (heh). Though will admit a certain illicit fondness for film-noir.
Genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Horror, Giallo, Comedy, Suspense, and Action are probably the most preferred, as well as quite a few films made before 1960, across the genres.
Not terribly interested in chick flicks & the like. I'll go see one if invited by friends, but wouldn't make a point of going by myself - unless something just tweaks my interest. Hell, I've seen some pretty good ones, that I actually enjoyed, but wouldn't have seen them without being asked by others. (Too many things catching my interest - not enough time!)

I seem to prefer fantasy (LotR and it's ilk), comedy fantasy (Xanth and it's ilk), space opera (reading Deathstalker series now), mystery/suspense/detective (Iris Johansen's Eve Duncan series, anything by James Patterson, anything by Lincoln & Childe), space comedy (Bujold's Vorkosigan series), sci-punk (William Gibson, Rudy Rucker, etc), mysteries (Sue Grafton's alphabets, etc), plus the old staples like Shakespeare, Ian Fleming, Dante, Chaucer, Defoe, ER Burroughs, RA Heinlein, etc, etc, etc...
I've also been known to sit down and read a volume of the encyclopedia on occasion, when bored. ;)
