Jackie1776's Scoop
About me:
I am curious, friendly and adventurous.
U B 2.
Who I'd like to meet:
Like and unlike minded individuals. Based on experience, rednecks are not people I would like to meet, especially when they are as dumb as a bag of hammers. Otherwise, I have an open mind.

simply the best
Music:
Richard and Linda Thompson; Gillian Welch, Power Pop in general;
Cuban music in general; Mozart; Haydn and all those guys; Otis Redding, Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Isaak, Etta James, John McLaughlin, Thelonius Monk -- I could go on forever-- Johnny Hartman.
Movies:
Stanley Kubrick was a genius. Hitchcock and Cary Grant is a good combo. Ingrid Bergman was gorgeous. Blue Velvet is a scary movie that I like, although in general I do not like scary movies. Here are three strange and great movies: Princess Bride, Strictly Ballroom and Napoleon Dynamite plus all of the mockumentaries by the ensemble that did "Best in Show".
Books:
Hard to compete with Ulysses, by James Joyce. I like lots of other books. Dark Sun, by Richard Rhodes, is part of a trilogy about nuclear weapons that I consider must reading. On the light side, Stephen Colbert is really funny. Faulkner, Nabokov, Updike ......I could go on and on.
