Music:
Create a MySpace Playlist at MixPod.com
A wide range: rock, jazz, blues, electronic. Have to admit I don't appreciate Rap, and twangy Country. But I luv Sons of the Pioneers, Willie, and the Man in Black.
I like songs that tell a story.
Movies:
I have been seeing the clips for "Sherlock Holmes". Should I even pay $$$ to see it. Cons first: its laughable. its almost slap sticky - Holmes was certainly not slap stick. Pros: He was, according to Watson, an expert boxer and swordaman, so that aspect of the previews are real. The sets & locations looked good. Preview Rating: Close call but I think I'll wait for the disk.
Movies on tap to watch: Big Lebowski, Star Trek (newest one)
Books:
The Canon ("Sherlock Holmes") by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. "When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth."
Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig. "The real cycle you're working on is a cycle called 'yourself' ".
Finite and Infinite Games by James P. Carse. "There are at least two kinds of games. One could be called finite, the other infinite. A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing the play".
The Hobbit & The Trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien
Frankenstein by Mary Shelly. Especially the 1st person chapters by "The Creature". In the book Frankenstein is the human creator.
and many others.
