Movies:
Where to being? I like all movies spanning from the first silent films, to the visual and audio wonders they are today. But I guess if I had to pick a decade of films it would have to be the films of the 80's. Mostly the Brat Pack films: THE BREAKFAST CLUB, ST. ELMO'S FIRE, SIXTEEN CANDLES, PRETTY IN PINK, FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF, WEIRD SCIENCE, THE PRINCES BRIDE, THE NEVER ENDING STORY and on. Guess I had a thing about Molly Ringwald with the red hair and freckles. But from a visual aspect i would have to pick newer movies with all the CGI, 3-D, and computer animated films.
Books:
Being a guy I would have to say all things Steven King. The Stand has to be one of the best books he's ever written. Micheal Crichton (R.I.P.) one the best visual writers. With books like: CONGO, JURASIC PARK, THE SPHERE, and THE ANDROMEDA STRAIN just to name a few. And let's not forget he wrote TWISTER (screenplay), E.R.(the series), BEYOND WESTWORLD (the series) and many many more. Right now because of my daughters I am starting to read the Twilght series of books (yes, i know it written for young girls) but a good read my daughter says.AND ON
