I am not the action type for the most part. I love the Sharpe and Horatio Hornblower series, both produced by the BBC. Additionally, I love pretty much anything by stanley kubrick, such as Clockwork Orange, 2001 a Space Odessy, and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
I do enjoy the Spielburg series of Indiana Jones as well. And finally, due to a soon to be change of career, I am really enjoying the movie "Pushing Tin"

The Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas series "The Hirum Key" et al. The James Harriot series about Vet's, the Douglas Reeman books about warfare. I also grew up on Arthor C. Clark, Larry Niven, Michal Chritan, Stephen King, and Robert Heinlein to name a few.
