This one's a toughie because I like a lot of different styles of music. I was born and raised on heavy metal and punk rock, so anything that has a death growl or has a total album length of 25-30 minutes will probably be found in my music collection. Main bands of interest are Slayer, Tool, A Perfect Circle, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Nirvana (just because), Beck, REM, Coldplay, The Killers, Guns N' Roses, Hatebreed, Slipknot, Youth Brigade, Social Distortion, The Black Crowes, Radiohead. Just to name a few.
Movies:
Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma, Chasing Amy, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, The Ring, Blazing Saddles (or any Mel Brooks movie for that matter), Better Off Dead, Say Anything, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy--but only the boxed sets that are 4 hours a piece, Reservoir Dogs...and the list goes on and on.
