snapper74's Scoop
About me:
Well, I'm definitely not a macho, muscular, extreme sports-loving dude who just wants to "be real" and "play no games." That last description seems to fit a few men with profiles online. Sorry to disappoint anyone, So, I'll just be me: A typical truly nice guy. Yes, a few of us remain on earth. (No, really, seriously!) I consider myself a gentleman – a reliable, loving, mature, witty, creative, attractive Y-chromosome carrier with a fondness for family, pets, and anything fun that doesn't involve breaking the law or testing the laws of physics! But if a bit of fun happens to involve whipped cream and exploring each other's bodies upon a remote hilltop at dusk, then I'm game. A small group of family and friends – along with strong cups of coffee, various kinds of movies and music, and eclectic banter about everything and nothing – all keep this local, hard-working writer honest and well grounded.
Who I'd like to meet:
If she even exists - someone equally genuine – a fun-loving, kind, caring, woman with a quirky sense of humor and a solid sense of responsibility. A open-minded person whose interests could run the gamut and is willing to share whatever is on the mind at anytime. Bonus points to whoever crafts a 100-word essay on how you and I both can write the greatest-selling novel ever, start a multi-billion-dollar business and realize world peace – not necessarily in that order.

Interests:
Music, movies, reading, creative writing, dining out, hanging out with friends and doing anything or nothing, sports (attending and participating), sci-fi, astronomy, hiking, browsing the Walmart electronics section at midnight, reshuffling magazine racks at Barnes and Noble much to the employees' chagrin, discussing the meaning of life at rave parties 8-P LOL

Music:
A few personal suggestions for musical enlightenment: The Beatles, Pearl Jam, U2, Madonna, Public Enemy, B.B. King, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin, The Supremes, Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Billie Holliday, Mozart, Beethoven, R.E.M., 2Pac, Rage Against the Machine, Bob Dylan, The Doors, Texas Tornados, Sleater-Kinney, Two Tons of Steel, The Donnas, Prodigy, Outkast, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, The Raveonettes, Garbage, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Terri Hendrix, Girl in a Coma, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Vallejo, N.W.A. (that's right, ol' skool), The White Stripes, Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, The Killers, The Temptations, Robert Johnson, Bruce Springsteen, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, Franz Ferdinand, Radiohead, Jimi Hendrix, The Ramones, The Eyeliners, Cake, Hole, New Order, Modest Mouse, Elliott Smith, Fiona Apple, Gorillaz, Death Cab for Cutie/The Postal Service/Dntel, The Strokes, Metric.
Movies:
I have no specific favorites, although Schindler's List and Citizen Kane rank pretty high up there. And the Star Wars, Matrix and Lord of the Rings trilogies. And Airplane! And Dr. Strangelove. Or Reservoir Dogs. If you're not a friend of either Bachelor Party or Strange Brew, then you're simply a heartless human being. But I can't quite shake constant thoughts of Police Academy 3, House Party 3 and Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo. Those rocked, guys.
